Funded Project: Community Safety Net (CSN)

The CSN project delivers essential information, advice and guidance services in key areas of Welfare Benefits, Debt and Housing, it is a hands-on service to members of diverse communities in Handsworth and is currently available to residents living within 1.5 miles form the NCA. The IAG services are free, confidential, independent, impartial and open to all.

We work with Sandwell to provide English classes to give people the chance to develop their English skills in a safe environment to allow people to learn English and integrate easier within the community

Funded Project: Nishkam Aasra Hub

The Nishkam Aasra Hub provides emotional, mental, physical and spiritual support to elderly members of the community. The project helps alleviate anxiety, isolation, bereavement, breakdown of existing social networks and supports management of exisiting health conditions.

Funded Project: South Asian Family Support Hub (SAFSH)

The SAFSH Project focuses on the local South Asian Communities. The Hub will act as a safety net for families with single or multiple complex economic, social, educational, relationship, disengagement, isolation issues that have always existed and have been amplified by the COVID crisis. We provide families with intensive seamless support through early interventions and using preventatitve measures. We work with families, helping them to engage and interface with agencies, such as education(schools), police, health & social services and other stakeholders.

Faith Action are a national network of faith-based and community organisations who serve their comunities through social action.

Birmingham Faith Leaders Group is a network of the principal leaders of Birmingham’s six major faith communities. The Faith Leaders proclaim that the faiths are unitied in working for peace, justice, care for our planet and protecting the right to live and worship free of harassment and prejudice.

The Museum of World Religions UK is a project intended to create a shared space for dialogue and understanding between people form different faith communities as well as for people of no religion or no faith.

Advice UK is the UK’s largest support network for independent advice organisations, they help strengthen and support advice services by creating opportunities for networking and the sharing of sector knowledge.

The Peace Charter for Forgiveness and Reconciliation is a charter advocating for Forgiveness and Reconciliation as key processes to allow healing and reconciliaiton to take place, the charter is a collaborative effort by esteemed figures from different faith backgrounds.

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK and is a symbol of outstanding work in the voluntary sector.

Investing in Volunteers is the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management. Meeting the standards of their 9 indicators is said to enhance the experience of volunteers and show that the organisation is providing an outstanding volunteer experience.
