Gopinder is a postgraduate researcher at the School of Education, University of Birmingham. She has a degree in French and Russian from the University of Cambridge and a Masters from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.

Formerly she held the position of PR and Marketing manager for a small, high-quality, cross-cultural children’s publishers.

A qualified teacher in adult education and now first-time mother, her interest in education spans early years through to higher education
and lifelong learning.

She has been a volunteer at GNNSJ for many years and her present volunteer work builds on a lifelong interest in promoting learning which draws on Sikh heritage.
